Sentinel is a personal life operating system that helps you track daily habits, health metrics, financial activity, and productivity. It provides scoring, streaks, AI-powered insights, and automated reminders to support your goals.
2. Account & Access
- You must provide a valid email address to create an account
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
- Sentinel uses passwordless authentication (email OTP). No passwords are stored
- You may delete your account at any time, which permanently removes all associated data
3. Acceptable Use
You agree to:
- Use Sentinel only for personal life-tracking purposes
- Not attempt to access data belonging to other users
- Not abuse API endpoints, circumvent rate limits, or interfere with the service
- Not use the AI advisor to generate harmful, illegal, or abusive content
4. Financial Data Disclaimer
Sentinel is not a financial advisor, accountant, or fiduciary. The financial tracking features are for personal awareness only. Specifically:
- Transaction categorization is automated and may not be accurate
- Scores and insights are for motivation, not financial advice
- Do not make financial decisions based solely on Sentinel's data
- Consult a qualified financial professional for investment, tax, or planning decisions
5. AI Advisor Disclaimer
The AI advisor feature is powered by a third-party language model (Anthropic Claude). It provides general suggestions based on your tracked data. The AI:
- Is not a licensed medical, financial, or mental health professional
- May produce inaccurate or unhelpful responses
- Should not be used as a substitute for professional advice
- Has conversations rate-limited to 50 per day
6. Third-Party Services
Sentinel integrates with third-party services (Plaid, Supabase, Vercel, Anthropic, Resend). Your use of these services is also subject to their respective terms. We are not responsible for the availability or conduct of third-party services.
7. Data Ownership
- You retain ownership of all data you input into Sentinel
- We do not claim ownership of your personal data, journal entries, or financial information
- We use your data only to provide and improve the service as described in our Privacy Policy
8. Limitation of Liability
Sentinel is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for:
- Data loss due to service outages or technical failures
- Inaccurate financial data from third-party integrations
- Actions taken based on AI advisor suggestions
- Consequences of the punishment system features
- Interruptions to service availability
9. Termination
You may stop using Sentinel and delete your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, all data is permanently deleted.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of Sentinel after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
